These have been created using paper negatives made by employing a camera-less process of contact printing relief maps from numerous editions of a dictionary of geography – the images have then been transposed onto aluminium as pigment prints. These blurry photographic impressions fuse together two images while light passes through the original photographic object, and underline how our understanding of geography is constantly being remembered and forgotten as aluminium substrate reflects - and the image in parts, momentarily disappears.
