UNBREAKABLE: WOMEN IN GLASS, is an exhibition presented by Fondazione Berengo to highlight the exquisite art of contemporary female artists working with glass. The exhibition acts as a metaphor, exploring the delicate relationship that women have had with art and ensuring they are accurately represented and appreciated. Curator Koen Vanmechelen states, “the invisibility and transparency of glass can shape a new generation while healing scars from history”.
The exhibition features artworks created in the studio over its thirty year history including works from the archives and newly created works specifically for the exhibition.
