2025 marks the first year of the MAC yapang Art Prize! This national art prize has a total prize pool of $40,000. The prize was open to artists from all disciplines across Australia, with artworks in any medium.
The winning artist of the acquisitive prize will be awarded $30,000, and their artwork will be acquired by the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang for the permanent collection.
Finalists will be included in the MAC yapang Art Prize exhibition at the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang
The Art Prize is supported by Lake Macquarie City Council.

This prize will be awarded to the winning artist, whose artwork will be acquired by MAC yapang for our permanent collection, a growing collection of contemporary art stored onsite at MAC yapang and worth over $3 million.
