For a long while there were only plants comprises of over one hundred drawings illustrating human body-parts, skilfully connected through Angela’s changes of their scale, relative to each other, where a vertebrae bone is drawn on a similar size paper as a thigh bone. Her use of a consistency of paper sizes and minimal colours, enable individual works to become one harmonious artwork, all parts of a whole.
Depending on the viewer’s medical knowledge, a sense of familiarity with some of her images is possible. Tentative links to the human body can be made identifying bones, teeth, maybe even internal organs like the lungs and stomach. However not all Valamanesh’s objects can be
clearly identified.
