ABOUT THE FEATURED FUNCTIONAL DESIGN AND PHOTOGRAPH
The blunt sculptural form of Untitled Desk with Drawer 2021 takes inspiration from the reductive geometry of Cameron’s exhibited Communion series of images (Alderney 2020 pictured). Communion was a suite of 9 black and white works in coded brass frames presenting architectural forms that dealt with salvation, protection and memory.
“Transferring the personality, feelings and forms contained in these works, and translating the architectural and the monumental to a more human scale was the genesis of this range of sculptural functional art, that foregrounds material choices and artisanal production.”
