Council is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2026 Environmental Art & Design Prize (EADP), one of Australia’s leading prizes recognising creative responses to environmental issues.
This year, there were over 700 submissions from across the country. It’s fantastic to see so many people getting involved and exploring themes like climate change and sustainability.
The 170 finalists are really pushing us to think differently about our environment, and showing just how powerful art and design can be in driving positive change.
The standard of entries in 2026 has been extraordinary and impactful. The Prize is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to engage with artists’ and designers’ unique perspectives on our natural world, sustainable living and the challenges we face together.
You can see the finalists’ works at Manly Art Gallery & Museum and Curl Curl Creative Space from 7 August to 20 September 2026. We invite everyone to come along, experience these inspiring interpretations of environmental themes, and join the conversation about sustainability in the arts. You can also vote on your favourite artwork and design.
