Gill-Hille works intuitively responding to the pre-existing grain, a collaboration between artist and nature, before hand-applying a studio developed, ebonising solution. The artist’s experimental structures transform the natural environment to create work that is organic, abstract and incredibly tactile.
The works prompt reflection on the intricate balance between humanity and nature, urging viewers to appreciate and contemplate the landscapes that mould us and encourage an understanding of how all small actions and elements contribute to something larger. The works serve as a tangible reminder of the enduring beauty within Australia's wild landscapes, encouraging a nuanced understanding of our place within the ever-evolving environment.Exhibitions
