Thickened pigmented epoxy is then layered over many days to build a surface patina in which colour and texture are interlinked – cutting back, the final surface reveals a stratigraphy of hues unique to each work, drawn from the artist’s life experiences.
Gyre VI coffee table highlights the pink/green colours of the ubiquitous eucalypt trees - the bark and leaves and the patterns as the bark peels.Exhibitions
